A safe (but still spooky) Halloween

Oct 26, 2017
Ghosts and goblins, fairies and Frankensteins, scarecrows and superheroes. The spookiest time of the year is near! And with Halloween comes decorating. But how can your little one partake in all the Halloween fun in a way that’s safe but still spooky?

Here are a few activities – from pumpkin play to candy madness – that will help get your little pirate, princess or police officer in the Halloween spirit in a way that’s toddler-friendly.

DIY Candy Holder

Sugar levels run high on Halloween, and it’s easy to get your lollipops mixed up with your gumballs. So get your little helper to lend a hand sorting your sweets before all the trick-or-treaters come by!

Build this easy DIY candy holder and organize all your candy for easy access when the kids stop by. Easy to customize, you can build as many compartments as you want for all of your trick-or-treating needs!

Bats, ghosts and spiders galore!

Print and cut out all kinds of creepy shapes that your little monster can use to decorate blocks! Your toddler can color them with their favorite spooky colors before pasting them on their extra Mega Bloks. The best part? You can use them for decorating or play!

No-carve Jack O' Lanterns

It wouldn’t be Halloween without pumpkins! But even though carving is too dangerous and too messy for toddlers, your little one can still have fun making a Jack ‘O Lantern.

Just download and print our pumpkin decorating sheet, then cut and paste for beautifully decorated pumpkins that your little goblin can be proud of! So when the moon is out and the bogeyman comes to town, your Halloween décor will be ready to go and absolutely boo-worthy.

We’d love to see the magic your little goblin makes this Halloween! So be  sure to capture your little one’s spooky creations and share them with us @megabloks on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram! Use #BuildThemUp for a chance to be featured on our page.
